Gotta have at least one appreciation post for the masterpiece that is Monster.
If anything encompasses what Big Bang felt like after their rough year, it’s probably this song. The imagery, the make up, the production… it was all flawless. And GD, of course, able to imbue his songs with such emotional charge. Should I go as far as to say he’s a musical genius? He’s one of Korea’s top producers, that’s for sure.
And this is all just off the impression of the MV. I haven’t watched the MV with eng subs yet, but I bet the lyrics are as heartbreaking as I think they are.
So cheers to Big Bang for, again, raising the bar and showing everyone why they’re the only idol group to break the idol mold and become ‘artists’.
(Side note: Anyone else notice the tiny woman standing beneath TOP at 2:40? I wonder what else they have hidden in the MV…)
